Meet the Founder
A gap between heritage and everyday. Ratnaura fills it.
Ratnaura was founded by Megha Maheshwari, an Indian-born entrepreneur based in Canada, with a deep appreciation for jewellery that feels both meaningful and wearable. Growing up, jewellery was always more than an accessory — it was connected to celebrations, family traditions, personal milestones, and memories passed from one generation to another.
After moving to Canada, Megha noticed a gap between traditional Indian jewellery and the simple, contemporary pieces suited to modern everyday life. She envisioned a brand where women would not have to choose between heritage and modern style — a place where both could exist beautifully together.
The Inspiration
For the woman who carries her heritage with pride.
Ratnaura draws inspiration from the richness of Indian artistry, the simplicity of contemporary design, and the belief that jewellery should feel personal rather than purely ornamental.
The name Ratnaura combines Ratna, meaning a precious jewel, with Aura, representing the unique energy and presence within every woman. Together, they reflect the heart of the brand: jewellery that enhances your individuality rather than defining it.
Whether it is a minimal piece worn every day or a statement design chosen for a special occasion, every Ratnaura creation is intended to help women feel confident, connected, and effortlessly themselves.
A Note from the Founder
"Ratnaura began from my love for jewellery that carries meaning while still feeling effortless and relevant to modern life. I wanted to create a space where Indian-inspired artistry and contemporary elegance could come together in pieces women can truly make their own.
For me, jewellery is not simply about completing an outfit. It is about expressing your personality, carrying a memory, celebrating a milestone, or simply choosing something that makes you feel beautiful.
My hope is that every Ratnaura piece becomes a meaningful part of your story."
— Megha, Founder of Ratnaura
